Thoughts about the new visa regime for Chinese, in UK and Europe

Have you heard the news? The President of China was in town and to honour the state visit, the UK government announced that Chinese will (from January 2016) receive a two year multiple entry visa to the UK. Currently it’s just 6 months, while the US started offering a ten year visa to Chinese and France began the 2 year visa last year. So far, so good right?
